The missions team at Faith is committed to the belief that everyone has a gift to share and can discover a call to mission and service. Opportunities are available for all ages of our congregation and are not just limited to the Tulsa area; Faith Kids purchased boards for a Habitat for Humanity house, adult Sunday school classes feed the homeless each month, church members have traveled to the Gulf Coast regions to assist hurricane victims, and others partner with local United Methodist churches to travel nationally and internationally for medical and construction missions.

These are just a few examples of the many mission opportunities and projects that we participate in here at Faith.

Local Missions

Tulsa is a thriving area and like many other communities its size, part of the population occasionally needs a little help. Faith provides support in many ways from manual labor to monetary donations to providing meals to reading to children to clothing donations to programs for needy children. Faith works closely with many local organizations including Night Light Tulsa, Restore Hope, Project Transformation, Pearl’s Hope, and the Day Center for the Homeless.

State & National Missions

There are many needs around our state and country and Faith has responded when crisis hits. We traveled to the Gulf Coast region after hurricanes and to the plains states after flood disasters. Faith also works closely with the Osage County DHS, Cookson Hills Methodist Mission, Gore Boy’s Ranch and the Tahlequah Girl’s Home. Faith can quickly assemble teams when a need arises and mobilize to be a helping hand.

International Missions

Since the 1990s, Faith has actively participated in many international mission trips, sending teams to Russia, Mexico, China, Cuba, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. We are striving to make a difference in the world. Mission teams have been sent for both educational, medical, and construction needs in these countries.

Special Projects

Throughout the year, additional needs arise and the mission team works with everyone to respond to those needs. One church member often provides hearing screenings, another church member regularly offers minor car repair, and the church provides beds to children in need from the local schools.
