B.O.L.D Student Ministries is the Junior and Senior High Youth Group of Faith United Methodist Church. Junior High is 7th through 8th grade. Senior High is 9th through 12th grade. B.O.L.D. stands for Becoming Our Lord’s Disciples.Events and activities include fun and fellowship, service and mission projects, outreach, and youth led worship. We believe that is our mission and purpose as a youth group. This name was birthed out of some of our students and the belief is that God calls us to be bold and becoming a disciple is a bold move. We believe this is a process that we are called to do together in community. We want to grow closer to God and hope you would come and join us! John Hollon is our Director of Youth Ministries.
All classes meet for approximately one hour. We use curriculum that helps youth understand scripture and apply it to their lives. This is a time to learn and discuss with friends and adults alike. Discussion is the driving force of this worship opportunity and it is truly a great way to start your week!
11:00 am-Individual classes for 7th through 12th grades in the Youth Wing.
FUMY is for all students 7th thru 12th Grade. We meet from 6:00-8:00 pm every Sunday evening. Events and activities include fun and fellowship, service and mission projects, outreach and youth led worship. This program will have one mission night, 2 discussion and activity nights, along with our newest invention RFT. RFT is our random fun thing, students will show up to church only knowing what they need to bring and then will be taken on a secret excursion to have an amazing time! We invite you to come hang out this Sunday! Check the B.O.L.D. Student Ministry calendar linked on this page for specific information each week!
Connect is the 7th thru 12th Grade Midweek Worship. This opportunity is our midweek refresher to be nurtured and encouraged. We will have worship, small groups, and of course fun! The groups are designed to support and encourage participants in their faith walk. Groups are divided by age/grade and gender. During this time students will dive into scripture with leaders and peers to get a better understanding of what the Bible has for us. All groups meet at the church from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Wing.
Faith participates in a variety of summer camps offered throughout the state of Oklahoma. We have camps for High School and Jr High and even combined opportunities. These are God experiences you won’t want to miss. Expect more info on all the camps in late winter or early spring.
Faith is a missional church, and B.O.L.D. Students are very active in missions throughout the year. Each month we participate in a mission project doing everything from baking cookies to helping build a Habitat home. Senior High mission trips usually take place once over spring break and once over the summer. These trips range from international to national trips as well. Jr High focuses on Youth Force as their mission experience, which is a state wide set of mission camps in which the we help our brothers and sisters in Christ right here in Oklahoma.
For information about any of these programs or activities, contact John Hollon at the church office, 918-252-1679 x110. Feel free to email him at
